The things everyone asks.
Who qualifies for the free first year’s insurance?
In short: drivers aged 25-80, permanent UK residents with a full UK or EU licence, a broadly clean record (a maximum of one driving conviction and one fault claim, and no major convictions or bans), with the car kept at your home address. The cover is provided by BMW Insurance and is subject to acceptance. See the full eligibility criteria ↓ - and Dan checks it all with you up front, so there are no surprises.
What’s the “one payment down” exactly?
Your initial rental is simply one month’s payment - £389 on the 1 Series or £399 on the 2 Series. Not a £1,500-£2,000 deposit like most new-car offers.
Can I buy the car instead of leasing it?
Yes - PCP is available on both models at 2.9% APR representative, so you can own it at the end if that suits you better. Ask Dan for a personalised quote and he’ll show you both routes side by side.
What does the 3 years’ servicing cover?
Scheduled servicing for three years under Hedin Automotive’s service plan. Dan will run through exactly what’s included when you speak.
How quickly could I be driving it?
These cars are in stock at Ruxley - not factory orders. Once your finance and insurance are sorted, handover can be arranged in days, not months. Availability changes fast though, so register your interest early.

The first year’s cover is provided by BMW Insurance. Here’s who and what it’s built for - Dan checks it all with you before you commit to anything.
The driver
- Aged 25-80 (minimum age 30 on M135 & M235 models).
- Permanent UK resident with a full UK or full EU licence.
- Maximum of one driving conviction (e.g. SP30) in the past five years, and no major convictions or bans (e.g. DR10).
- Maximum of one fault claim in the past five years.
- You, or your spouse, partner or civil partner (not a business partner), is the main driver.
- The main driver is the first registered keeper of the car.
- Up to 4 additional drivers can be added at no extra cost.
- No insurance previously cancelled, declined, or with special terms applied.
- The main driver can pass an identity check at their address.
The car & how it’s used
- New 1 Series (F70) & 2 Series Gran Coupé (F74) ordered between 1 July and 30 September 2026, registered by 31 March 2027.
- The BMW is kept at your home address.
- Owned and registered by you, your spouse/partner/civil partner (not a business partner), your parent, guardian or grandparent, or a lease company.
- Cover for Social, Domestic & Pleasure (SDP), SDP & Commuting, or SDP&C including Business Use (Class 1).
- Your BMW is not used for Hire & Reward.
Meeting this criteria doesn’t guarantee acceptance - cover is at the discretion of the insurance underwriter. Dan will confirm your eligibility before anything is agreed.
